What is the general readiness of North American organizations planning to deploy the new Microsoft Vista operating system? That's the question solution provider Softchoice Inc. set out to answer with a new study of more than 472 organizations recently, and the results indicate that the majority of PCs in use today are not equipped to handle Vista's enhanced requirements. Not only did the "Softchoice Vista Readiness Study," -- out at month's end -- state that roughly half of the businesses surveyed are unable to meet the minimum requirements of Vista, it also reported 94 per cent can not meet the OS's premium requirements.
