On Saturday, October 13th, enjoy a day of outdoor fun for the entire family at the 29th annual Apple Festival at Historic Kirby's Mill.
In what is one of the largest annual festivals in South Jersey, more than 90 artists and crafters will showcase their varied wares on the grounds of historic Kirby's Mill. The Apple Festival will feature blacksmith and craft demonstrations, apple-butter, hot and cold apple cider, home-churned apple ice cream and apple cider donut making, plus the popular Apple Bake Off and a food court. 
Admission is free and there is ample parking. The festival starts Saturday at 9:00 am and lasts to 4:00 pm.
Kirby's Mill is one of the largest and oldest mill complexes remaining in southern New Jersey. It was built in 1778 by Isaac Haines and originally known as Haines Mill. It became Kirby's Mill after William Kirby purchased it in 1877. Here grain for the Continental Army was processed, and the mill became a center of commerce and information in the surrounding communities from the eighteenth through the early twentieth centuries. The mill exhibits distinctive wooden pegs and wedges, and is a fine example of massive timber construction.
The Medford Historical Society purchased it from the Kirby brothers in 1969. Kirby's Mill was declared a State Historic Site in July of 1971 and was placed on the National Register of Historic Sites in September of 1972.
Kirby's Mill is located in South Jersey's Burlington County, northeast of Medford Township at 275 Church Road (on the corner of Church and Fostertown Roads), Medford, NJ.
