Kudos to Fire Fighters and Supporting Emergency Responders

The recent New Jersey Pinelands forest fire (see related news article), that was accidentally ignited when a military jet dropped a flare on a dry section of the Pine Barrens during a training mission, makes one appreciate all of  God Bless our Firefighters and Law Enforcement Officersthe fire fighting professionals that serve us day in and day in protection of us and our environment.

At the height of the recent forest fire, more than 1,000 emergency responders, including more the 600 firefighters, used water, bulldozers, tanker trucks, Black Hawk military helicopters and even other fires to eventually contain and then control the fire. At this point the fire is no longer a threat.

We salute all of the brave, committed fire fighters, law enforcement and emergency responders that have acquired the necessary training, skills and experience to quicky respond to fire threats and effectively contain, control then extinquish the fires.  We thank you for your hard work and dedication to keep us safe.
